“I’d read somewhere: ‘Go into the light,’ but I did no such thing.
For me the light was feedback, my anchor for attention. I held on..."
STRAIGHT LINE MEDITATION, Chapter 11: Breakthrough!
(Note: Breakthrough followed in less than one hour.)
Attention is meditation's 'active ingredient.'
Feedback lets you hold on to attention. Select a disc and focus with a gentle gaze on the bull's eye.
A halo of light will appear. Direct your attention to that.
When your mind wanders, the light will vanish.
That's your (feedback) signal to re-focus on the bull's eye.
Repeat the process for meditation that minds your mind!
Orange Sunset: Feedback with this disc resembles an orange sunset.
Solar Flare: Feedback with this disc resembles solar flares.
Disappering Rings: Feedback with this disc includes an illusion of disappearing rings.
Circles or Spokes: Feedback with this disc is any change you see.
Shimmering Rings: Feedback with this disc is any change you see in the rings.

Basic Focusing Disc: With this basic disc, feedback is harder to come by.
Beginners have only seconds at a time, but each second is potent!
"Meditation meets Western efficiency."
